Key Initiatives Regarding Our Sustainability Efforts

As a travel company committed to creating a sustainable future, we have developed action plans for each branch of our company in accordance with the standards of the GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) to minimize our impact on the environment. Through the implementation of these plans, we aim to maximize the economic value that sustainable tourism brings to local communities while contributing to the preservation of the region’s natural environment, history, and culture.

1.Tourism Destination Development Group:

●We will hold workshops in collaboration with local communities to promote sustainable tourism that respects the local culture, natural environment, and wildlife, aiming to achieve a sustainable society.

2.Inbound Group:

●We actively propose accommodation facilities that incorporate local arts, architecture, and food while being environmentally friendly.
●We collaborate with local communities to provide experiences that minimize environmental impact and contribute to the local economy.
●We provide tours that do not harm and minimally impact the natural environment, wildlife, local residents, and natural resources.

3.Product Planning and Sales Group:

●To realize sustainable tourism, we adhere to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) guidelines set by our company and develop and sell travel products that consider local communities, culture, natural environment, and wildlife.

4.Travel Planning and Sales Group

●We will urge bus companies to refrain from idling and the excessive use of air conditioning during stops.
●We actively propose accommodations that incorporate elements of local art, architecture, culture, and ingredients.
●We collaborate with local communities to develop and sell travel products that respect the local society, culture, natural environment, and ecosystems.

5.Hokkaido Guides Support and Promotion Group

●We will issue our company’s “Sustainability Action Plan” (https://hokkaido-takarajima.com/takarajimasdgsguideline/) twice a year to guide businesses, including Hokkaido guide operators, and encourage compliance.

6.Marketing Group

●To support sustainable corporate operations we will build, strengthen, and operate a digital infrastructure that can flexibly respond to various services, aiming to eliminate the digital divide within the company and promote digital transformation (DX). Additionally, we will strive to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty to strengthen our customer base.

7.General Affairs and Accounting Group

●We will promote the creation of a work environment that is conducive to everyone while working towards a style that emphasizes work-life balance.
●We will minimize energy consumption both internally and externally while conducting business activities that consider environmental protections.
