In fiscal year 2023, Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel inc. implemented a carbon offset initiative by purchasing 40 tons of carbon credits (worth 440,000 JPY), generated from Hokkaido’s public forests, to compensate for the greenhouse gas emissions produced by our inbound tourism operations and corporate activities. This carbon offsetting scheme involves investing in projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions to offset unavoidable emissions from our business.
