Dear Treasured Customers – Message from the CEO 2020.3.26

The daily news updates regarding the spread of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have made all of us feel a sense of uncertainty about the future and the world around us.
Therefore, I wanted to personally reach out to you with my message and an update on how we are doing here at Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel.

● First things first.
The health and wellbeing of our travelers and our staff is our top priority. That is why we follow the advice from reliable sources, most importantly the experts of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as the official government travel advisories.

● Traveling to Hokkaido in the future.
Even if you and your loved ones are fit and healthy, it is natural to feel anxious about the current situation, and reconsider your travel plans in the upcoming weeks and months.
Now (As of 2020/3/26), Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel continues future private tour operations normally for those travelers who are not part of any travel restrictions. We kindly ask that anyone traveling with us will cooperate with safe travel etiquette, for the protection and comfort of themselves and the people around them.

If you are concerned about your booked tour, we recommend rescheduling the trip for a later timing rather than cancelling. Please contact your personal travel consultant for details.

If you are dreaming of a trip to Hokkaido, but feel uncertain about how the situation will develop, do not hesitate to express any concerns you may have. You can still contact us, and we can start to plan ahead for a vacation to come.

The process of designing a tailormade personal itinerary takes always some time. Now is perhaps just an excellent opportunity to really get to know each other and plan with care for a trip that you will truly love, when the time comes.

● We will get through this together.
The current world situation has served as a reminder of the things that truly matter: The people and taking care of each other.

The best is to follow the information issued by trustworthy authorities, such as the World Health Organization. Little things, like washing your hands, coughing etiquette, not touching your face, physical distance and staying home if feeling unwell, really can make a difference. Trust, but verify: Remember healthy criticism when it comes to social media and other platforms where the source of information is unknown.

We at Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel take the safety and comfort of our customers very seriously and follow news regarding the COVID-19 situation closely. The situation the world is facing right now is in many ways unprecedented, but fortunately we do have a very experienced and professional operations team.

Now it is important for all of us to take care of ourselves and our loved ones.

Suzuki Koichiro, CEO Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel Inc.
